Scientists have found the reason of inadequate behaviour of teenagers
The American scientists have established the reasons of excessive irritability and predilection to sharp differences of mood at teenagers. On their data, the hormone which is considered as a natural tranquilizer, during puberty can have opposite an effect, not suppressing, and strengthening irritability at stress.
During experimentsВ with mice, the research centre of University of New York , caused in animals a claustrophobia attack, placing them in a close box from plexiglas. Having appeared on freedom, mice behaved variously depending on age: the animals who were at a stage of maturing, showed signs of alarm much more longly, than adult or preadolescent rodents.
During the subsequent researches it was possible to establish and the reason of the raised uneasiness: abnormal reaction to a hormone allopregnanolon has appeared it. This hormone developed in reply to stressful event, possesses strongly pronounced abirritating action at adult mammals. However, as has shown studying of a brain of experimental animals, in puberty it operates exactly the opposite.
At opening in a brain of mice additional receptors to allopregnanolon which was not at other animals have been found out. According to researchers, the hypersensibility to stress has been caused by them.
As changes of a hormonal background at puberty at mice are rather close to what occur in a human body, scientists believe, that abnormal reaction on allopregnanolon can be observed and at people. Researchers notice also, that on the statistican predilection to panic attacks and uneasiness at girls-teenagers twice above, than at young men.
